I just heard from our “Memphis” District Attorney, General Amy Weirich, and she mentioned this awesome website.

Operation Safe Community… it has great information and very positive. They are doing a great work in the city. The numbers are really down from 2006.

I think the biggest talk right now is the headlines “ Flawed Foreclosure Documents thwart Home Sales”.

With CEO Brian T. Moynihan citing a need to “clear the air,” Bank of America announced last week that it would halt foreclosures in every U.S. state to ensure accuracy in its documentation

Other major lenders are conducting reviews after learning that employees rubber-stamped foreclosures without properly assessing the documentation. THOUSANDS of foreclosures and pending home sales are now in limbo. Agents are being told by Fannie Mae- which brought many of the troubled loans-to freeze deals and take sale properties off the market for as long as 90 days or more.

There is really no word on what that means if you are attempting to sale your home as a short sale or purchase one. As I receive additional information I will be glad to pass it along.

Saturday we had our Fall Customer Appreciation Party at Priddy Farms. It was a beautiful October day, not a cloud in the sky.
We had a picnic lunch, hayride, train ride for the kids and you were able to pick a pumpkin.
If you have not been to Priddy Farms you are missing a good time.

The fall months are still a great time to sell or put your home on the market.

*Replace faded summer plants with fall-blooming flowers and add autumn decorations to the home.

*Expect low-ball offers and be prepared with higher counter offers.

*Price the home to sell. A price that is a little lower than the competition may be a winning move.

*Be willing to show the property whenever potential buyers are ready.
